Life Science & Healthcare IT Support – it Requires Partners

Being an IT partner to companies in the Life Science & Healthcare sector Greenlight Computers knows that successful service delivery depends on your ability to work with other partners involved in providing equipment and services. That can mean working with lab equipment suppliers to connect their test equipment to the client network so that the test data can be viewed. It can mean working with software companies to check out compatibilities and install software.  It can mean carrying out cyber security assessments to ensure that both hardware and software do not introduce any cyber risks. It can mean working with clients and their compliance bodies when assessments are being carried out.

Here are a few recent examples of where the Greenlight Computers team have been engaged in such activities in the past few weeks.

Greenlight Computers recently helped a long-standing client in the life science sector with the validation of a Contronics environmental monitoring system. This included identifying data flows and data backups.

We helped another client install Illumina Lab software.

A client in one of the life science hubs at which we have resident engineers asked our engineers to assist in the installation of their freezer monitoring software by 3rd party Checkit

Greenlight Computers engineers recently carried out a network cyber security assessment following a request from the suppliers of the Illumina NextSeq 550 sequencing system. The activities undertaken included a review of the client’s network firewall, AD and NAS on traffic policy, communication encryption and TLS protocols. All met the documented requirement and no action was needed.

A Greenlight Computers engineer recently engaged with Thermo Fisher engineers to ensure that a Thermo Fisher Countess 3 Automated Cell Counter could be successfully connected into our client’s the network. By working together this was achieved successfully.

A Greenlight Computers life science client recently invested in a new integrated network, including an on-prem server cluster. Greenlight Computers worked with Waters to ensure that the Acquity Sample Manager System was connected and brought in line successfully.

Our engineers have been working with Bruker to process and securely store raw data from NMR machines

These are a random selection of typical activities that our engineers carry out day in day out in helping our Life Science and Healthcare clients. All of us involved in providing goods and services to the Life Science and Healthcare sector are specialists in our fields and by working together in collaboration our clients get that end to end support they need.
